CHREIS ZÜRICH
Zurich is famous for its banks, the sparkling lake, and luxurious shopping streets. But the city has another, completely unfiltered side. This is exactly what an exciting new film project is bringing into the spotlight: "CHREIS ZÜRICH".
With 12 episodes – one for each of Zurich's 12 districts (Kreise) – the team at L.E.T Studios, built around the well-known comedian and actor Gabirano Guinand, aims to create a series that captures the real, pulsating, and sometimes rough rhythm of the city. Currently, this ambitious project is gathering financial support on the crowdfunding platform Crowdify to turn this vision into reality.
The Story: Between Pizza Boxes and Dark Hallways
At the center of the plot is Jerry, a pizza courier. Jerry lives on tips, timing, and the constant hope for better days. On his scooter, he knows every shortcut, every hidden one-way street, and exactly at what time the mood in a neighborhood changes.
As a courier, he is the perfect link between the diverse people, milieus, and classes that make up Zurich. He delivers to the upper class just as he does to troubled neighborhoods. But because money is tight, Jerry gets involved in deals that go far beyond delivering Margherita and Prosciutto. Suddenly, he finds himself in a dangerous network of shady characters – a second, illegal business taking place secretly between hallways and delivery boxes.
The Concept: 12 Districts, 12 Episodes
What makes "CHREIS ZÜRICH" so special is its structure. Each of Zurich's 12 districts gets its own episode. This makes sense because Zurich is contradictory: elegant yet nervous; ambitious yet wild. Every district has its own rules, its own language, and its very own vibe. The creators (Fabian Lucas Diebold, Cenk Korkmaz, Gabirano Guinand, and Cédric Zürrer) showcase the city as a living, breathing organism.
The Pilot Offers an Intense Sneak Peek
A first pilot has already been released on YouTube – and it packs a punch! The brief glimpse features fast-paced camera work, stressful shifts, an angry boss named Tony, and Jerry right in the middle of the big city's struggle for survival. The dialogue is authentic, the stress is palpable, and the atmosphere instantly draws you in.
